Last night CRC organised the evening 10 PETTS event, last weeks was cancelled so it was important this went ahead. I arrived to find HQ not open as it should be and paid to be, I allowed about ten minutes before I called the keyholder. Once in it was flat out as riders were queueing up to sign-on, we had enough crc help on the night and this allowed Martin Coulthurst to race. We had Peter Shuttleworth and Peter Jack doing time-keeping, Mel Fairhurst and Gill Davies at Broughton roundabout, Dave Turner at garden centre roundabout, Harry College was pushing off for us and Len Booker arrived late as his Sat Nav sent him wrong way, I sent him to see if a spotter was required otherwise we had enough cover. I did signing-on and managed to grab some milk coffee and biscuits so had them ready for returning riders. We also got booted out of the main room as the very important parish committee had a meeting to discuss very important matters so I didn't make them any brews. We had use of the front kitchen facilities and the rear room and facilites so all was fine. Cold murky night, riders said A6 was very quiet, plenty of help from crc members all went good, 25 riders on the night was nice and manageable, I paid the Hall hire from the riders fees and I hold £95 cash and receipt for the hall of which I need to transmit into club account to be held until PETTS ask for it. There will be a full write up in the Gazette on Saturday, the results are posted on the club website forum Club Awards/Racing All Results and are now on PETTS site as well. Thanks to all CRC helpers.
